The "Oregon 1880 Federal Census Index" lists Francis Cuppy in "Wascounty (sic) County, Or, Hood River Precinct. Was Hood River part of Wasco County in 1880? Is there any significance to the spelling, "Wascounty County?" Does anyone have information related to Francis Cuppy, born abt 1840, in Iowa, mar to (Elizabeth) Barbara Anne Sears?
