Frances Genevieve Boggs, 89, a long-time resident of The Dalles, died
Thursday, February 21, 2002, at her home.

She was born January 5, 1913, in Kenosha, Wisconsin, the third of seven
children to Lithuanian immigrants Anton and Marcianna Stella
(Gaunoritis) Nacius. She grew up in northern Wisconsin and Michigan.

Following her graduation from high school and business school, she
worked for the Milwaukee Gas Company in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She later
moved to New York City and was employed by Wurlitzer Music.

She married Jack H. Boggs on August 21, 1946, in Gaastra, Michigan, and
they moved to The Dalles in 1951 to build a home and raise their three
daughters.

She enjoyed her family, animals, reading, cooking, camping and
traveling, playing bridge, and helping others. A long-time member of St.
Peter's parish, she was an active member of the Altar Society, St.
Catherine's Circle, and volunteered many hours to Meals on Wheels.

She and her husband were active members of the U.S. Submarine Service
Veterans of World War II.

Along with her husband survivors include her daughters and their
families; Sandee and Ron Bosi, Rhinelander, Wisconsin; Dixie Boggs and
Betty Borg, The Dalles; granddaughters Tara Bosi, Atlanta, Georgia,
Tanya Bosi, Madison, Wisconsin; and Megan Borg, Seattle (Washington);
and one great-granddaughter, Savannah Jean-Marie Kohn.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings.

Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 27,
at 11 a.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church, The Reverend Todd Unger,
celebrant. Recitation of the Rosary will be Tuesday, February 26 at 7
p.m. at St. Peter's.

Memorial contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels, 1112 West Ninth
Street, The Dalles, Oregon 97058.

Arrangements were by Columbia Cremation & Burial.
