Hi Nancy,

My grandfather, Thomas Flanagan, was born Belturbet, Cavan, Ireland Mar 1869. He died 23 Sep 1935 at Portland, Or and is burried at Mt Calvary Cemetary in Portland. I dont know much about the Flanagan family. His parents never came to this country. His parents died in Cavan Ireland 1899 to 1903 period.

My Stevens side - my great grandfather was born in Ireland abt 1832 and came to Wisconsin as a baby with his sister. Dont know her name. His parents were Richard Stevens born in Scotland and his mother Mary Fox, a native irishwoman. I dont know where in Ireland they were from. Except for the names dont know anything about them. I got their names from his Oregon death certificate. He was burried at Albany, Or in 1922. He and my grandfather both worked for the Railroad. My grandfather, John Henry Stevens, was born in 1957 in Rock County Wisconsin. They were 5 children in his family all born in Wisconsin but I can find no record of their marriage or the 5 children. The first census I find them is 1880 in Crawford County Iowa. My grandfather, John Henry Stevens, married my grandmother Ellen Carew, in Clinton, Iowa in 1889. My dad was born in Clinton, Iowa in 1893 and family moved to Oregon when he was 6 month old. My grandfather came to Oregon as Supt of Corvallis & !
Eastern Railroad - later Southern Pacific.

Bob
