A "late hit" from two weeks back has identified the gentleman with the moustache as Sam Gates.
The building from last week, is the fabled hotel at Sherar's Bridge. It was identified by Georgia Miller, Terray Harmon and others. Donald vonBorstal mentioned his grandmother Caroline Ella Sherar Holmes, a niece of Joseph Sherar, was raised there, as did Rita Swyers, another grandchild. Carol Ann Webb noted her husband's grandparents ran it until it burned down. Lee Aginius said the photo dates from 1900, and LaVelle Underhill said that it burned in 1940 when a cinder from a train landed on the roof.
