Subject: [OSBORNE-L] Osborne in 1812

Now I'm looking for an unknown Osborne who was a lieutenant in 1819 in Niagara Co. , NY. Would that make him a soldier in the War of 1812? Does anyone know how I can look him up? I have the name of a soldier he worked with, so I suppose I could look him up to see what company, etc. he was with.
I'm a little lost on this one. Does anyone have any ideas? As always, thank you for your advice and patience.
