Last fall our OGSociety put together a brochure on Travel to
Ostfriesland with lots of great travel tips. If you are traveling, you
may want to get in contact with me. We flew to Amsterdam and then took
a connecting flight into Bremen - This was $100 cheaper than just flying
to Amsterdam and our rental car was almost $200 cheaper for a 15 day
stay! Bremen is about 1 1/2 to two hours from Emden - depending on how
FAST you drive!

Shirley is right about charge cards. GeldAutomats are the easy way to
travel. But they are NOT found in small villages, only larger Cities.

If you are exchanging money, you should exchange a large amount as the
charge is the same to cash $100 or $200 or more. The exchange rate is
good now - a good time to travel. Banks did not like my Visa travelers
checks - they wanted American Express checks.

Wish I could go back this summer - all this talk about travel makes me
homesick for Ostfriesland! Lin
