Hi Shirley,
Glad you enjoyed the story. I have a bit more of Esther Mennenga's little
black book. I don't know the folks mentioned in them but would'nt mind
sharing them with you. They might relate to something that would be a clue
for your research. I have a special spot in my heart for Esther. Would
that we all had ladies like her in our families. She had lots more in that
little black book. However, Jim Pals just got what related to the
Bos/Kielmann/Pals families.
I can't remember just who has the book now. I think it's one of Esther's
children and I'm hoping that it doesn't get thrown away when the
grandchildren inherit it and don't know what they have. Would love it if
you could get hold of it and copy it for future generations.
If you're interested, I'll try and find out just who has it now and perhaps
you could contact them with the idea that you could xerox the whole book.
It should be preserved for future generations. Will contact Jim in Iowa.
I'm writing down all those stories I heard as a little girl from the great
aunts and uncles. Am sharing them with family. Trying to carry on in the
tradition of Esther.
Terry
