I don't think Hammrich is a combined term because in Platt it is Hammerk.
Aurich in Platt is Auerk.
The term Aa for a small river is here Ee or Ehe - thus the "Sandhorster Ehe"
is flowing to Ems river. There is a specialist for old location names, the
former leader of the "Katasteramt" (land register) at Aurich, but as far as
I know he has no email.
