Robert, don't you remember, we have discussed this some years ago.

The history went further and it came to a final approach between the counterparts, the tom Brook clan and the Ukena clan.

On October, 28th, it came to a final battle on the wild acres, close to Oldeborg (NOT Oldenburg), close to Marienhave, where Ocko tom Brook was originating from. Ocko tom Brook lost control over Ostfriesland and Focko Ukena was ruling afterwards, however, for only a short time.

Later the family Cirksena defeated the Ukenas and was ruling Ostfriesland, they were cousins to the tom Brooks.
This clan later became the counts of Ostfriesland, still later the princes of this region. (They payed alot for this title, but their influence in the German empire was alas that one of counts.)

The OGSA published the "Short History of Ostfriesland" some years ago, where all the Frisian history was mentioned. For those, who haven't purchased the book: Do it now, it's really worth the money! I may say this, because I will have less than one cent of the price - I will have nothing.
