Meike Daniels Gruis, born May 10, 1835 in Kloster Dünebroek, and Jan
Hindriks Perton, born in Bellingwolde about 1836.

Some of their children stayed in the Netherlands while Jan and Meike
came to Iowa. She is buried in Woden, Iowa but I haven't found Jan. I
was contacted by a relative in the Netherlands that would like to hear
from the US side of the family. Please send me an e-mail if you have
connections.

BTW: Meike was the twin of my ancestor, Grietje Gruis.
