This email is directed to Sigrid but sent it to the whole list as I thought
it might be interesting to all.
Sigrid, I understand that in The Netherlands there are villages Wirdum and
Loppersum. I haven't looked for them on the map but I understand that they
are more towards the middle and north in the country?????
My question being, if my Groen line, which we are almost positive came from
The Netherlands, was a colonist in Loppersum in Ostfriesland, is it
possible that he came from Loppersum in The Netherlands and could that be
where Loppersum and Wirdum in Ostfriesland got their names from the two
villages in The Netherlands?
Would there be any records available in either of those two villages in The
Netherlands?
Gail
