Jill,
From Übersicht über die Kirchenbücher der evangelisch-reformierten
Gemeinden in Ostfriesland:
Weenermoor T 1737, Tr 1737, B 1737, Km 1767
That translates to the year that each type of record began for
Weenermoor.
Taufe (baptism) 1737
Trauung (marriage) 1737
Beerdigt (burial) 1737
Kommunion (communion) 1767
So it seems records do exist. What is filmed by the LDS are those records
that were kirchenbuch duplikat. The second set of books were kept and
then given to the civil authorities to serve as a civil record. The civil
record copy eventually went to the civil archive where the LDS was
allowed to film.
