Regarding the Deutsches Auswanderer Haus in Bremerhaven, I visited there this week and came away with a quite negative assessment.

Visually, it is a beautiful museum, inside and out. If you have done much research on your immigrant ancestors you may come away disappointed.

When you enter the museum you are issued a 'boaring pass' which is supposed to let you follow a particular immigrant ancestor. Justina Tubbe óf Texas is one of them.. This does not work too well in practice because everyone must wait in a queue to hear the audio about the person.

The research databases are the ones you already have access to, familysearch, ancestry.com, Ellis Island. The Bremerhaven Historical Museum was better for me as an informative museum. DAH is, for me, too much an experience museum.
