Moin Kim, and others.

it may probably make your research easier spelling the location of the
origin of your ancestors correctly - Ditzumer Hammrich or Ditzumerhammrich.

Hammrich is usually a low wet meadowland in Ostfriesland and the
bordering Netherlands, Hammerk is the equivalent in Low German or Dutch
language. Ditzumer Hammrich means, it is the low wet meadowland close to
the village of Ditzum.

For a map go to http://www.lgn.de/nn/adr/, then click on "Ortssuche" and
type onto the query field: Ditzum.

Choose Ditzumerhammrich either Bunde or Jemgum and press the "enter"
key, the village of your ancestors will appear. You can zoom in and all
the sites, houses etc. of that village or hamlet will be to see,
probably the sites your ancestors lived on before emigration.

Alternately, you can type every other names of locations of Lower
Saxony, federal state of Germany :-) , like Weener, f.e.

Please, don´t feel bad because of receiving this via the list, but I
thought it might be helpful to many of the members of this list.
