Sorry, I was so excited about receiving the missing information that I forgot to correct the subject line!

New Information:

Strackholt OSB #93 - Gretje J. Aljets, b. 11 April 1847 - in Vossbarg.
Strackholt OSB #2566 - Albert E. Rossmueller, b. 24 Feb 1847 - in Vossbarg
Married 1869 in Summerfield, Illinois.

In reviewing the #93 entry, Gretje is the only surviving child of Jurgen Garrels Aljets. Albert and Gretje Rossmueller's first child died young, second child Eilert never married. So, unless other records are found, there are no surviving descendants of Jurgen Garrels Aljets.


I checked castlegarden.org and did not find any ship/migration date for Gretje or her father Jurgen Aljets, so its on to the next puzzle. Isn't this fun!

The Strackholt OSB lists Gretje Jurgens, daughter of Juergen Garrels
Aljets and Trientje Andressen Mueller, born April 11, 1847!! (#93) And the
Zion Lutheran (Hanover) Church (Gage County, NE) lists a burial for Jurgen
Garrells Aljets (born 1816 per cemetery records. The Strackholt OSB has
his birth date as 16 Oct 1815) It would make sense that her father (a widower) would have joined them in Nebr. Maybe that's the solution to the brick wall!

Original Query: I am looking for the birth location, parents and
siblings of: GESCHE/GRETJE JURGENS EILERS OR EILTS (a.k.a. Rachel)
She was born 11 April 1847, place unknown, (date from tombstone)
She died 4 Dec 1891 in Gage County, Nebraska.
She married Albert Rossmueller 3 Mar 1869 in Summerfield, Illinois.
He migrated from Vossbarg with his father and siblings in 1854 on the
ship O.Thyen. Albert and Rachel moved to Gage County, NE in 1872. They
had two sons, one died at young age, second son never married.
