I am aware of these Ostroms in Sprague. Our daughter Meghan was in the same class at the U of M with an Ostrom from Sprague who insisted he was related and she hoped he
wasn't. Sprague is about 2 hours south east of Winnipeg near the US border and we plan to check out the cemetery as soon as the snow is gone. It is still a bit deep in
places. I will get back to you on this.

Recently, I found the Wesleyan Methodist Baptismal Records for Ontario on the net and a listing for a Derick Ostrom, son of Derrick and Jane Ostrom, born 1849-09-12, baptised
1850-03-05, residing in Calumet, birthplace Calumet Island, District/County Can East/Quebec and the area listed as St. Andrews Circuit.

Does anyone have info on this family? I know Kelly Brennan-Harrison was researching the family from Calumet Island but I have not been able to contact her.

There were a total of 24 Ostroms listed on this site.
