Tad, though I'm unfamiliar with "Soapy" Smith, I'm hoping Frank Reid connects to my family. My mother's grandfather was George Reid b. 1858 d. 1899. The family story is he was killed in a gunfight over a woman he was accused of having an affair with. My aunt (who died in 1986 in her mid nineties) once told me she remembered her Uncle Frank Reid, but pushed for details, this side of the family was one that wasn't spoken of. So its also a major brick wall as far as family history. If you were pleased to meet Frank Reid's family, maybe George's are important, too? I would love to hear from you. Mimi.
