Dear Stephanie,
Yes, Charles Tawney is one and the same as the person you describe. Have a
copy of "Morrells of Oxford" and have also read Mary Prior's excellent book
"Fisher Row, Fishermen, Bargemen and Canal Boatmen in Oxford, 1500-1900" which
includes much on the Tawneys, with trees.
If you have additional information on Charles, or any other Tawney, I would be
most interested. Also details of families related by marriage.
