It's west of Luzern Co and north of Schuylkill Co. It's in the coal mine
area.
This is just a suggestion, but anytime you're looking for information on a
town, county, etc., do an on-line search and you'll be amazed what you might
find. When trying to do your searches, type in something like this:
"columbia co., pennsylvania" or "columbia county, pennsylvania" or "columbia
co., pa" etc, or, if you know the name of the town, "name-of-town, columbia
co., pennsylvania"
and don't forget to do a search for columbia co. along with the name of your
relative. Try full name in parentheses or just the surname.
Do not put the name of your relative in the same parentheses as "columbia
co., pennsylvania"
The trick with searches is to try all different combinations. Another trick
I learned is to reverse the name. For example, you will get totally
different search results for "Jacob Baker" or "baker, Jacob"
Good luck!
Lydia
