Jill,
I must have been having a senior moment last night. Of
course his name would be in her pension file. Part of the
Pension approval process was verifying the service record of
the soldier involved. And this verification would have to be
made for each application his mother made. As new Pension
Acts were approved, people had to apply for the pension
under the new act.
