Come join us and read some of the Weekly Fireside newsletters "published" by
the American Civil War chat in the Genealogy Community on AOL, formerly in the
Golden Gate Genealogy Forum. The newsletters date back to 1998, so needless
to say there will be URLs which will not work. There is a lot of repeated
information in them, but there is also lots of really good info and stories. I
hope you enjoy reading them as much as I'm enjoying re-reading them. If you
would like to subscribe, instead of waiting for them to hit the website you may
send an email to and put subscribe in the subject
