DANIEL BONEBRAKE (born February 3, 1825-died October 22, 1892), son of Adam
and grandson of Peter, married Rebecca (born July 17, 1821-died April 25,
1900), daughter of George and Eva (Hoffman) Overcash. He dwelt in Quincy
township and in 1877 purchased the Union Hotel (now" A Little Gallery") at
Mont Alto. They had at least two sons, namely:
1. ADAM O. (born July 4, 1849-died February 28, 1866) lies buried at
Grindstone Hill.
2. GEORGE L. wed (first) Mary Elizabeth Carson, who bore him seven children:
(1) Rebecca married Abraham Smith, of Hagerstown, Md.;
(2) Daniel Carson, a butcher at Waynesboro, married a Wiles and had issue;
(3) Luther married Rose Swartz and had issue;
(4) Ada married James Rice and had issue including Mr. Paul F. Rice, of
Quincy, Pa.;
(5) George W., dairyman at Waynesboro, married Florence Marie Barkdoll and
was the father of Mr. Richard D. Bonebrake, of Waynesboro;
(6) Katherine Bell married Lucius Kearfoss and had issue; and
(7) Charles married Anna Bachtell and had two children. George L. Bonebrake
married (2) Samantha Heefner and settled at Mont Alto.
