Subject: [SNOWHILL] Monn - David Sr.'s children - Elizabeth (20)

>From Mormon records, we know that David had five daughters, one of whom was
named Elizabeth (see the section on Margaret). Although nothing is known
about this Elizabeth directly, it seems likely that she is the Elizabeth
Monn who married Samuel Burger in 1824. This Elizabeth was born in May 1793
and died in 1855. She was actually the second wife of Samuel, according to
the record. His first wife was an Elizabeth Knepper who died on June 15,
1822. They had three young children at the time. Samuel had seven more
children with his second wife, Elizabeth Monn Burger, namely, Abraham
(6/16/25), Elizabeth (5/4/27), Susannah (3/24/29), Barbara (4/15/31), Samuel
(9/10/32), Catherine (8/31/34), and Sarah (8/13/36).

Dean Calimer has recorded that Elizabeth was the daughter of George Senior.
But George Senior's eldest daughter was under 16 years old in 1810 according
to the census that year, and this was probably referring to Nancy, born in
1797 (Elizabeth was 17 in 1810). David Senior, on the other hand, had two
girls under 10 years old in the 1800 census, and if the Mormon records are
correct, he did have a daughter named Elizabeth. So although the evidence
is not very strong, I'll list Elizabeth Mann Burger as the daughter of David
until more information is found that suggests otherwise.
