Maude E. Hamilton
Member of Avery United Methodist Church.

Maude Elinor Hamilton, 82, of Bellmead Apartments,
Washington, formerly of Beallsville, Bentleyville and
Monongahela, died Sunday, August 12, 2001, in
Presbyterian Senior Care, Washington.

She was born July 13, 1919, in Ellsworth, a daughter of
Jessie and Ada Hawkins Beall.

Mrs. Hamilton was a graduate of Beallsville High School.
She was a member of Beallsville Presbyterian Church for
the first 30 years of her life. She held many offices in
First Baptist Church of Monongahela, where she taught
the Philathea class for 20 years. She also held many
offices in Bentleyville United Methodist Church and was
a member of Avery United Methodist Church of Washington.

Surviving are three sons, Richard Parkinson of
Lexington, S.C., William Parkinson of Panama City, Fla.,
and James Parkinson of Newport News, Va.; three
stepdaughters, Jean Dormo of Bentleyville, Doris Cox of
Anchorage, Alaska, and Nancy Morris of Trona, Calif.;
three stepsons, Robert Hamilton of Marietta, Ga., James
Hamilton of Red House, W.Va., and Donald Hamilton of
Washington; five grandchildren, Melanie, Michael, Peter
and Kenneth Parkinson and Melissa Cook; and 17 step-
grandchildren.

Deceased is her first husband, James Parkinson, whom she
married in 1940 and who died in 1948; her second
husband, Albert Smith, who died in 1975; her third
husband, Clair Hamilton, who died in 1985; a brother,
Rodney Beall; and a daughter, Elinor Amanda Hamilton.
