Menober - March 21st, 1879, near his residence in Ligonier Vally, Pa,
James Menober fell and soon expired from an attack of heart disease, at
the age of 73 years and 1 month.

The deceased had been in good health and spirits during the day, having
ridden several miles, transacted business, and returned in usual
health. Soon after his return he went from the house, and remaining
some time his wife sought him, but to her great sorrow found him lying
dead by a spring in the door yard, within a few feet of the spot where
his aged Father had likewise fallen dead many years ago. Though
suddenly called he was not taken unawares. His life was one of quiet
but sincere piety. The disease had given him considerable solitude for
some and had been graciously blessed to his growth in
spiritual-mindedness and preparation for death. "Be ye also ready."
