I have found out that my son-in-law's father was born in Berks County, Pennsylvania and that my son-in-laws grandmother was not married. We would like to send for his birth certificate, can someone tell me where to send for it. We have also, just today found that Harry had a sister, we now have a name but no date of birth. Any suggestions?

Harry Richard Stein was born October 27, 1934 we believe in Reading, Penn.
His sister's name we were told about 5 minutes ago was Lucille Ann Stein. One of Harry's aunts says that Lucille died as a small child.

As I said this is all the info we have, other than Geneva's parents lived in Reading on Third Street from about 1918 till they passed away. We also believe that Geneva did not marry untill the middle 40's. Geneva Irene Stein married Maynard Orrin Goodell and they had 2 sons born in California in 1944 and 1947. We do have first grade pictures of Harry Stein in California and then in the second grade he was known as Harry Goodell and all records that we have found, have the name Goodell. We know that Maynard registered for the draft at Fort Sheridan in Illinois in 1941 and he was single.

So we do not know when or how Maynard and Geneva met, we do not know when they married, we do not know who Harry's and Lucille's real father was.

Any suggestions on how and where to look for better info or records would be most appreciated.
