Landis doesn't appear to be a very common chester name, but here's what I've
found...file away in case they "fit in" later;
Henery Landis appears on a list of the assessment of the "Inhabitants
upon Schoolkill above the French Creek, in the year 1720."
On Nov 7, 1724, a group of German Baptists, or Dunkers, who lived in
coventry, celebrated the "love feast" and theLord's Supper, for the first
time....Henry Landis and his wife were 2 of the 8 communicants.
Coventry and Nantmeal were apparently together, until 1720, when the
above assessment was done, and in 1722 the district was called
Scoolkil...Henry Landes is listed in 1722, but there are no Dugans or Jones.
