My point in posting was that this is a very DIFFERENT virus....and,
believe me, I've gotten them all...probably 10 or so a week. However, I
know that new things appear daily, and this is new. There is no telltale
"look to the attachment" at the bottom......the message says that it is
including a form to be filled out and returned...and, the form is the virus.
Have you heard of this ? I certainly haven't . There are none of the
telltale signs of a virus, of parroting part of one of your own emails back
to you or the usually strangely worded instructions at the end, etc. In
none of the other virus I've received was there ANY corollary between the
attachment and the message; it was just "stuck on" at the end.
This one mentions the form to be returned within the body and context
of the message....VERY different....This was NOT a message in someone's
inbox from me, changed around a bit.....I sent nothing even remotely like
this to anyone. There is NO indication, just by looking at this email that
it is anything other than a Christian message with an attached
form.........thus, my warning. I was afraid that many would be put at ease
by the "Christian" context of the email, and would open the attachment,
forgetting the "rule" to open NOTHING you aren't expecting.
I did, of course, send them an email, telling them they have a virus,
which they chose to leave unanswered. I also alerted their server...
