Patrick, I sent you this on 11-9 in reply to your query.........you never
responded, so perhaps you never received it? It answers your question about
whether Joshua was on the Great Valley list in Futhey and Cope........and
supplied you with what information I was able to find on the name in all my
sources.
"is there any Joshua Lewis entries related to that 92 family Baptist
Congregation list?"
Sandra
No mention of a Joshua or Ralph in F&C....lots of other Lewises, including
Samuels, but none with a father Ralph or a son Joshua. The 1765 Chester
archives lists only 1 Joshua, this one in Willistown, who owned 1 horse and
no land...2 Samuels, one in Whiteland with 208 acres and one in Trydffrin,
with 100 acres.
Ralph bought 250 acres of land in Havford, dated the 15, 11 Mo, 1701.

.
I am looking for information on Joshua Lewis of Chester, PA.
he may be the son of Samuel Lewis & the grandson of Ralph Lewis...
Joshua Lewis was a member of the Old Great Valley Baptist Church in
Tredyffrin in the mid-late 1700's & I believe he was a Quaker to begin
with as were Samuel & Ralph of Chester...
