Hi everyone. I am new to the list and look forward to joining in.
Does anyone have any further information on Frederick Engle, reportedly emigrated from Yorkshire England, d. Aug 1737, m. 6 Nov 1720 to Ann/Anna Cloud, who also married Robert Pennell and d. 9 May 1793. The only child I have is Susannah Engle, m. 13 Nov 1742/43 to John Fairlamb, Sr., son of Nicholas Fairlamb and Katherine Crosby, of Philadelphia and Chester County. Futhey and Cope shows a Frederick Engle listed as election clerk for Chester County in 1775. Could be a descendant. My information on him comes mostly from research done by Mary Beale Hitchins (my husband's aunt) and from F&C. I have no parents or other children for him, nor religion, occupation, location, etc.
I am also researching the following families in Chester County and vicinity and am always happy to share what I have and accept documented correction: ASTON, ASHBRIDGE, BEALE, BEER, BOURGOIN (AND POSSIBLY OTHER SPELLINGS), CLOUD, COWPERTHWAITE, DOWNING, FAIRLAMB, GARRETT, HOOPES, JENKINS, LEWIS, MCDOWELL, MILLER, SPACKMAN, VERNON, WHELEN, WORRILOW and more.
