My connection could possibly be through your Copes Line:

I have some information indicating that a Thomas M. Mat(t)hews married an
Elizabeth Cope in 1838. Both were born in Pennsylvania.

There are a couple other interesting "coincidences" -- my Matthews also
married Hannums, of Chester Co. My Mary Hannum was a daughter of Thomas
Chandler Hannum (and you have Chandler's in your line)... My Mathews ended up
in Ipava, Fulton Co., Illinois, except for the line that continued on from
Illinois to Oregon...

Would be interested in if you have an Elizabeth Cope in your line (birthdate
January 1813)..
