By this record, we can see that he was a Lutheran minister, associated with
this church:

Marriage and Death Notices from the Lutheran Observer 1831-1861 and the
Southern Lutheran 1861-1865 by Brent H. Holcomb, C.A.L.S.

By the Rev. J. Clemens Miller, May 9th, in the Ev. Luth. church, Norristown,
Pa., the Rev. J. F. Fahs, of Hancock, Md., to Miss C. Emma, daughter of the
Rev. H. S. Miller, of Norristown, Pa.
