Quakers met in various "ways".....they met on a local basis....one or
more of these preparative meetings constituted a MM or monthly
meeting......several MMs constituted a Quarterly Meeting, which took in an
even larger group of Friends, and finally the Yearly Meeting, which
encompassed quite a few Quarterly Meetings, and was a very large group from a large geographic area. All kept their own records. Therefore, I'd think the Quarterly Meeting
records were just that...the records of that Quarterly Meeting. All the different
meetings could easily be 'addressing' different matters, the further down
the scale the more local the records; the further up the more 'universal' and broad
the matters discussed tended to be.....local deaths, dis, marriages, etc would be more likely to be found in the MMs, for example, and slavery, etc would be discussed at the Yearly meetings, if you catch my drift! I'd think you'd want MM records, rather than Quarterly or Yearly.

I appreciate your looking John LONG up for me, thank you.
I was just getting ready to order the Chester Quarterly Meeting film

records,Vol.1-3?
