For those of you involved in African American research I've just added a photo to the Chester site of that might interest you - the Hosanna Meeting House . It was founded by free Blacks who had settled in the area and was known as the "African Meeting House." It was formally organized in 1843 as an African Union Methodist Church, and was a station stop on the Underground RR. Its many visitors included Frederick Douglas and Sojourner Truth.
