#1 No documentation on marriage of William Jackson to Margaret Wilson other
than "family information" with marriage taking place in Lancaster Co., PA -
Know Wilson family also settled in Guilford Co., PA where her father, Andrew
Wilson died; one of her brothers was was Exec of William's Will in 1792 and
another brother was in partnership in land purchase. Have the Will of her
grandfather, Thomas Wilson of Lancaster Co., PA.
#2 the "Whoops" statement is a normal occurance on this Jackson line - going
pretty good, then OOPS! - strike that one and keep on going!
#3 Oldest daughter of William Jackson and Mararet Wilson supposedly born in
Bucks Co. PA in 1755-1756 married James Joseph Summers in Guilford Co., NC 2
Aug 1774 (Marriage Bond) in Guilford Co., NC - He was born abt 1749 in Kent
Co. DE, and son of Thomas Summers (Will probates 9 Sept 1749 Kent Co., DE
heirs: wife Rosanna, sons: Thomas, John, William, Joseph
#4 sons of William, Joseph and Andrew Jackson (my direct line) helped County
Surveyor to survey some of William's Land Grants as proved within Land Grant
information.
#5 Son Andrew mentioned as primary heir within William's will was prob.
named after his mother's father, Andrew Wilson. Date of Andrew's birth est
at abt 1764 or before from census records of 1800-1850 with Andrew being
born in Bucks, Chester or Lancaster Co, PA MAYBE!(From 1820-1840 he was
shown as Free Person of Color - he married Nancy Bridges, a Cherokee -
proven by Marriage Bond as well as Cherokee Claim) All children as they
became HH shown as Free White. Have two different DNA analysis on this line
+ Bible Records + Cherokee Claims + Census records proving this lineage.
#7 Back to square one - been there before, progressed out of it, and will do
same it again!
If I may, would like to throw another curve into the "family tales" as well
as supported by two different publications, one published in the 1950's but
the other in 1910 - that the "Andrew Jackson who married Margaret Wilson is
the brother to Andrew Jackson, the father of Andrew Jackson (Gen/Pres)"
Know that this brood probably came out of Lancaster Co., PA and points
unknown - A very controversial family lineage.
Thanks for all the input!
