All this posting on Presbyterians and the mention of James Bell leads me to
ask about ARTHUR BELL. He per Aldrich's History of Clearfield County, PA, was
born in Scotland and joined the Revolutionary War service in CECIL CO, MD,
along with HUGH JORDAN and JAMES MCCRACKEN. After the war they moved their
families to Clearfield County, PA where all become involved in local politics and
their children intermarried. It was said that ARTHUR and his brother were
privateers during the war.

I know that I should probably go to the CECIL County, MD, but as we have
found on this list the political boundaries were not totally firm in those days.

Thanks for any help,
Jean
