Elisha COWGILL, son of Eleazer and Martha COWGILL, born 1 1mo 1742, shown at Nottingham Monthly Meeting.
No later one shown in Humphrey's Births, Chester Co 1682-1800, pub 1994, page 41.
Maybe the one you have is a descendent. You might want to check Quaker records.

I have a note from another researcher that Elisha could have been an orphan
or may have been lent out as an indentured servant by his mother.
No clue as to why the researcher thought that.
My husband descends from # 1 child: Harriet who md Benjamin HOOPER.
