The definitive work on Pennsylvania Legislators is "The Biographical Dictionary of Pennsylvania Legislators" - Volume 3 is in the works. This volume will cover the years from 1757-1775, but the editors can be reached via email at the address on their website, and they should be able to verify an Assemblyman from 1800. This is a work of real scholarship done by professional historians and I highly recommend it.
