The only name I can find anything on is a James McCracken, who was a pvt on
the roll of Capt Wm Steele's Co, in Sept of 1814. There are other
McCrackens in the county, but nothing to indicate other ties.
I checked the will CD and there are no mentions, in any area counties,
of the name Thomas Bell. The following are those with the name John Jordan
ROSS, THOMAS. London, Britain, yeoman.April 5, 1744. October 31, 1744. B.
170.Provides for wife Jane. To daughter Margaret wife of Thos. Jordan 10
shillings. To daughter Eleanor wife of John Reed £25. To grandson John
Jordan and Thomas Jordan, articles named. Thos. Jordan and wife to occupy
plantation until grandson John Jordan is of age.Executors: wife and Thos.
Jordon.Witnesses: John Alexander, Patrick Miller.
JACKSON, JOSEPH. Londongrove.September 5, 1760. December 15, 1760.To wife
Susanna profits of real estate until sons come of age, then 1/2 to her
absolutely and the remaining 1/2 to children equally except daughter Rachel,
also £200. To son in law John Jordan £3. To daughter Rachel, wife of John
Jordan £200. To son Ephraim 106 acres of the north end of plantation
purchased of John Jackson, also 1/4 of mill. To son John plantation that
John Jordan now lives on which formerly belonged to Richard Bennett
containing 50 acres, also 112 acres of leased land adjoining and 1/4 mill
and £150. To son Josiah south end of above mentioned tract and 1/4 of mill.
To son Samuel plantation where I now dwell containing about 150 acres and
1/4 of mill at 21, paying £70 to daughter Sarah. To son in law James Jackson
£3 and to his wife, my daughter Mary £60. To daughter Hannah £120. To
daughter Susanna £120 at 18. To daughter Alice £120 at 18. To daughter Sarah
£140 at 18. Executors: Wife Susanna and neighbor Samuel Morton.Witnesses:

(I"m not sure what post you're referring to....did you mean Sandra rather
than Susan? If so, I would imagine the names simply appeared in
wills.....is that right?)
