from a lookup in Early Court records 1697-1710;

1697 "Evan Prothero brought 2 boys the on's name Magnis Taite who was
adjudged to sarve the said Evan Prothero 6 years from teach or cause to be
taught the said Magnis Taite, to read or else sarve but 5 years from this
court.........the other boy's name is John Slaiter whoe was adjudged to be
12 years of age and to sarve 9 years from this court and the said Evan
Prothero is to teach the boy to read or cause him to be taught to read."

in 1698 Evan Prothero 'passed over a boy to Tomas Moore of Concord for the
remainer of his time...the boys name is.........(none included)
