There seems to be some confusion of dates for the family of Thomas
MERCER JR. For example, if he was b. 10 Oct 1694 in Thornbury Tp and m.
Hannah Taylor on 26 Dec. 1722 at Springfield Friends Mtg [when Thomas
would have been 28], it seems unlikely that he is the father of Rachel
b. 6.12.1712 [at which time Thomas would have been 16] who m. Evan
DAVID 12.23.1728 [at age 16, an unusually early marriage for Quakers].
-- All of the children listed for Thomas & Hannah appear to be in
reasonable chronological order but most too early for this couple. --
Does someone have an explanation?
