THE MENDENHALL NEWLIN ALLIANCE, by Able, and
it says that Nicholas b 1689 , Edith Pyle, and that they had only one child,
a Thomas....and, there is no mention of any Hannah Benson in the index.
Nicholas apparently died intestate but did leave adm. papers recorded in
Chester

NEWLIN, NICHOLAS. [Concord. March 14, 1768. Adm. to Anne Newlin and Micajah
Speakman.

from CONCORD TOWNSHIP - THE COLONIAL LEGACY, by Case.

(Nicholas') " marriage to Edith Pyle in 1715 apparently bore 3 children -
Nathaniel b 1717, Thomas be 1718, and Nicholas b ?. but no furthere trace
of them has been found. A second marriage to Ann Sspeakman Walter,
produced 10 children. Of the 10, Thomas, Nocholas and John played roles in
the development of Concord twp. Most likely the Thomas and Nocholas born
of Edith Pyle died young and the names were given to 2 subsequent sons by
his second marriage."
