Hi Kim,
Thanks for replying. Yes, I would appreciate your forwarding the e-mails
about the JEFFERIS family. I may already have the information, since I have
quite a bit on this family and related ones. The JEFFERIS family is what
got me hooked on genealogy about 23 years ago. But most of what I have is
from Gilbert Cope's research, with little or no actual documentation. I
have found some mistakes in his research, so I would like to try to document
as much as possible. I have a cousin in Idaho who is also doing research on
our shared line, and yet neither of us can locate documentation on Thomas
and Elizabeth or James and Mary. It's like they didn't exist. They are too
early to be counted individually in the census, and apparantly left no
wills. Then there's the frustrating everyone having the same name thing!!
You'd think that with a name like Ruel or Emmor, they'd be easy to
distinguish. But no, even those names are used over and over!! AARGH!
