Hi - I have researched my hubbie's DUTTON family and have wondered where the connection was, to the DUTTONs of Penn. in 1683.... his ancestor JOHN DUTTON came with the Winthrop Group in 1630 to Plymouth, Mass., right after the Mayflower, so this could be a prior generation or two to the DUTTON of Penn. The DUTTONs of Mass. seem to have mostly stayed in the North, in Mass. Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont, and in my husband's case they migrated to Southern Quebec , from Vermont., his GrGrGrandfather went to Lake Mephremagog area in 1845.... but they all lead back to Dutton in Cheshire, England. I wonder how they were related, could they have been of the same DUTTON family as the JOHN who came to Penn. in 1683 ??? Thanks, Sally
