In the 1880 census, William is a farmer, age 31. Wife Lydia is 26. Dau.
Mary is 5, son Walter is 1. They are next door to Ezra Hall, 59, and wife,
Mary, 57. The Halls have a laborer, Frank Woodward, 19, in their household.
They are all in Newlin Twp., Chester Co. (I do not find William in 1900).
In 1870, William is a farm laborer, age 21, in Wm. Harvey's household,
Newlin Twp.
In 1860, there is only one listed being the right age, 11. He is in W.
Bradford Twp.
Son of Richard, 41, and Mary, 38, Woodward. Siblings Josephine, 15, Eliza,
13, Mary, 11, Anna, 6. Also living with them is 73 yr old Mary Harvey.
In 1850, this Richard is living with the Harvey family; no wife is listed.
The children are there (except for Anna), although the 1 yr old male is
listed as Harvey Woodward, not William. Mary Harvey is there, age 68. So
perhaps this is not the right William.
The Harvey connection is interesting. Mary Harvey is like his mother in
law.
I found this in the archives:
I would like to further my Woodward line but have

So perhaps this is the right William after all.

That seems to be my Ezra H. Hall as well. I was glad to get more info on
Mary Ann Jeffries. Thank you. If you are interested in more about their
children, , I have found two. Wm. Henry was born 2/18/1844 in Newlin Twshp.
He died 11/10/1902 at home on Dean St. which was near Newlin and is buried
in Bradford Cemetery. He married Edith Harlan on May 10, 1862. Their
children are Harlan, Harry M. b 1872, Glenn, Ezra b. 1878 and Sharpless.
The second child was Lydia, b 1852 at Glen Hall and died 7/22/1891 near
Embreeville. She is buried in Marshaltown Cemetery. She married Wm.
Manning Woodward, b. 1848, on 12/18/1873 at a Baptist Parsonage in
Coatsville. Their children were Aunt Mame (don't know the real name),
Walter Wm b. 9/18/1880, d. 1966 and Bessie Lydia, b. 12/6/1884, d.
10/22/1960
It is these Woodwards that I am trying to further as Bessie Lydia was my
husband's grandmother.
I have a record of Ezra H. Hall who was born about 1820 and died 13 Jun 1889
in Embreeville, Chester Co., PA. He was married to Mary Ann Jefferis,
daughter of Isaac and Ruth H. (Jefferis) Jefferis (cousins). She was born
in Centerville, New Castle Co., Delaware on 28 April 1823 and died 7 July
1886, but don't know where (probably Embreeville). I have no info on their
children, but there might be a will for either Ezra or Mary Ann.
