from a lookup.....
No Humphrey, I'm afraid, in the early court records.
THE HISTORY OF CHESTER COUNTY, by Futhey and Cope have the following;
Humphrey Lloyd was one of the early settlers of Uwchlan...this was aprox.
1722
Humphrey Lloyd is listed as a taxpayer, 1753, in Uwchlan.
The following is the info that there was a set of adm. papers on file, for
Humphrey Lloyd, indicating that while he didn't leave a will, the court was
necessary to divide his possessions after his death. You can get a copy of
these papers from Records and Archives;
LLOYD, HUMPHREY. Uwchland. September 20, 1773. Adm. to Griffith John and
John Jacobs.
He served as witness to several wills, and they were all in Uwchlan, so that
seems to have been where he lived and, according to his adm. papers, where
he died.
