Thank you, Sandra.

That helps.

That was Chester Court Records, right?

George Oldfield must have died intestate, or maybe his will has been lost.
His daughter Susannah supposedly married a John Powell after Lasse
Rawson died around 1718. I have no idea which John Powell.

This here:

Jacob Classon was a son of Claes Johansson of Mill Torp (nr
Wilmington). His brother was Johan Paerde Coper (horse trader in
Dutch), who moved to Passyunck, then to Neshaminy. For this group, see
1671 Census (PS Craig) p. 47.

Claes Johansson had another son Peter, who married Swaentje ___, and
he died at Mill Torp by 1682. He himself had sons Peter and Jacob.
--The ref for this is 1693 Census, p. 122. Does the 1693 Census happen
to mention what happened to THIS Peter Classon? I am still trying to
account for a Peter CLAWSON who moved to Cecil County, at St Johns
Manor, and was active there between 1688 and 1705 or so. THIS Peter
CLAWSON patented a tract called "New Amster" --and he married
Elizabeth CARR, half-sister of Susannan OLDFIELD.

Since the Peter CLAWSON who moved to Cecil County, at St Johns Manor
named his land "New Amster" I believe he was certainly Dutch, rather
than belonging to the Swedish family above described, of Mill Torp and
Paerden Hoek. His name does not appear on the 1661 Denizations of
Maryland record [MSA Volume 3, pages 428 429, 430] --but the name of
Jacob CLAUSON "late of New Arnstell and Subject of the States of
Holland" does. This Jacob CLAUSON (who d. 1686) was an Indian
trader/Interpretor, "friend" of Willem Beeckman, partner of Francis
Wright, and associate of Augustine Herman, and I wonder if the Peter
CLAWSON of the "New Amster" tract was his son. I believe two sons of
this Jacob CLAUSON are accounted-for, but as far as I can find, a son
of his called Peter, is not known.

Thanks so much for kindly providing this information.
