Seems pretty intriguing. According to Isaac Suttons Notes of Family History, the original James from Scotland had a son James (dates unknown) but in order to be him this James would be about 100 years old. Captain Patrick Anderson had 2 sons named James, one by his 2nd wife Elizabeth, which would date his birth before her death in 1764, and one by his 3rd wife Ann Beaton, Patricks last but the dates for are unknown.
I am directly descended from Isaacs son, Dr. James of Ardmore (b. 1782) and his son, the Rev. James Rush MD (b. 1824) of Reading, PA and its neither of them.
Id bet that this James is the younger of Patricks sons and is the full brother of Julius (d. 1822 in Charlestown of consumption according to Family History by Julius Anderson Lloyd in 1880) and the half brother of Isaac.
