I am sure the college will be able to answer all your Quaker questions. I have some JAMES as an allied surname. I doubt they were Quakers, as they were in VA before the first Quaker landed.
You first need to do is make the first Quaker connection and the library can help you.!!
Is there any solid information you have, even if it is a snippet.????

Subject: [PA-QUAKERS] James, Jacob Berks Co.
Hi,
I am new to Quaker research, as I am mostly Berks Co. PA Dutch, my one
ancestor Jacob James (Jan 1 1823 - Nov 16 1891) I think his parents are
Samuel & Lydia James who are Quakers, but can't prove it. Jacob married a PA
Dutch girl Rebecca Graeff. I think Jacob was born in Berks Co., but can't
say for sure. Census has him listed as born in PA. He lived most of his life
in Reading but later years moved to Montour co to live near or with son.
Does anyone have any info that might share. I am planning to go to
Swarthmmore College which I understand has a lot of PA Quaker info, in March
the next time I am in SE PA.
Thanks
Michelle in OH
