I was thrilled to get this information and visited Arlington Cemetery today.
There are no records for the people moved from New Philadelphia, including
my great-grandfather, but it's a beautiful place.
I want to offer to help others on the list, if possible. I live near the
Ewing Church Cemetery (also called Ewing Cemetery and Crematory and formerly
Ewing Presbyterian), which is very old, having been established in the 18th
century. The bandleader, Paul Whitman, happens to be buried here, as is
Mary Roebling.
I also live fairly near Riverview Cemetery in Trenton, NJ (many other
Roeblings, as well as Civil War soldiers and memorial stones to many who
went down on the Titantic) and the Princeton (NJ) Cemetery (Aaron Burr,
Grover Cleveland and family, Paul Robeson's parents., Sylvia Beach, and
others).
If anyone believes his or her people are buried in any of those cemeteries,
I'll be glad to research it and to take pictures of the stones, if any.
Rosemary Molloy,
Ewing, NJ
